Over at First Things, I was reading a good article about the saintly hero, József Cardinal Mindszenty, when I was struck by what seemed to be a subtle anti-Hapsburg bias. This becomes apparent in these two lines: ” Hungary had at times been a regional power…  and at others was subjugated and invaded by Mongols, Turks, Habsburgs, Nazis, and Soviets.” and “While Catholics are Hungary’s largest religious groups, its sizeable Calvinist minority led the fight for Hungarian independence. Lajos Kossuth, the leader of the 1848 anti-Habsburg Hungarian uprising, was a Calvinist; in the Hungarian mindset, Catholicism had long been linked with the Habsburgs. This changed in the twentieth century with Cardinal Jozsef Mindszenty.”

To suggest that the 1848 Revolution was a struggle for independence is to portray both the Hapsburgs and the Revolutionaries in a false light. The throne of Hungary was an independent member of the Empire, while Kossuth and his gang were traitors to the Crown of Saint Stephen, who insisted on the forced Magyarization of non-Hungarian minorities. But that’s a whole post in itself.

The question “Is it anti-Hungary to pro-Hapsburg?” can be answered with one word,

NO!

Restore the King and the Holy Crown!

The Political, Military, and Economic Hierarchy and System of Christendom

“Now it can be easily shown that the thing we call aristocracy in Europe is not in its origin and spirit an aristocracy at all. It is not a system of spiritual degrees and distinctions like, for example, the caste system of India, or even like the old Greek distinction between free men and slaves. It is simply the remains of a military organization, framed partly to sustain the sinking Roman Empire, partly to break and avenge the awful onslaught of Islam. The word Duke simply means Colonel, just as the word Emperor simply means Commander-in-Chief. The whole story is told in the single title of Counts of the Holy Roman Empire, which merely means officers in the European army against the contemporary Yellow Peril.”– G.K. Chesterton, What’s Wrong with the World

Schedelsche_Weltchronik_Struktur_des_Reiches

Christendom is hierarchically structured, but the most important of the elements is the Freehold of the Common Man, centered on the family and the Church’s teachings. USURY has NO PLACE in this system.

  1. The Emperor
    1. The Electorate
      1. The Crownlands
      2. The Kings (Kingdoms)
      3. Leaders of Federations (Federations)
      4. Leaders of Free States (Free States)
        1. The Nobility and Estates
          1. Higher Nobility- Archdukes, Princes, Dukes, Counts
          2. Lower Nobility- Lords, Barons
        2. The Guildmasters (Guilds)
        3. Councils
        4. The Free Cities
          1. Civic Officers
          2. Civic Councils
            1. The Freeholders of the City
        5. Freeholders (Freeholds)
          1. Knights and Guardians
